With deductibles rising, and patients being given greater choice and responsibility in their healthcare decision making, it makes sense that they would start behaving more like consumers in the general sense rather than simply patients receiving care. And yet, data suggests that healthcare consumers aren’t engaging in one of the most basic aspects of consumerism: price shopping.
